What’s New at #rdcHQ!

It has been awhile since we posted an update from #rdcHQ, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! We have been heating up the winter season with a few holiday goodies we are offering for sale to support the summer mentoring program in 2011.

We are currently offering limited edition BattleRockTV tees by Christopher Garcia who participated in our mentoring program in 2010. He did an excellent job on the shirts, and worked with BattleRockTV co-host Nathan Malamud’s original artwork to create the image. Christopher also designed the BattleRockTV logo and is developing his own line of custom wear at his web site, hijoy1987

BattleRockTV Tees!

These shirts, along with the sale of custom-designed books by the RDC crew this summer, are available in the “Buy Our Stuff” section of our website – This marks the beginning of our 2011 Fundraising Campaign, so check it out and support the work of the RDC!

In other news, the crew at BattleRockTV also launched their second episode featuring a quick James Bond-esque tour of Point.B Studio where RDC Headquarters is located:

We have lots more fun stuff in store for 2011 … so, stay tuned! (…and please … BUY OUR STUFF! :-) )

Update: BattleRockTV Logo

A quick update on the BattleRockTV projectChristopher has refined the logo concept, and he did a wonderful job (see above)! He created shirts for the news anchor team (Jason and Nate), and is working on a new set of shirts that will be available for purchase. We will be adding a project page for BattleRockTV in the WorkSpace area of our site soon – so stay tuned for more details and episodes of BRTV!

Extra Credit: BattleRockTV Launches!

We are still wrapping up a few details on our summer program, but there are new things brewing at #rdcHQ – we are pleased to announce our Fall Extra Credit Project: a collaboration with our friends at PortOrford.TV called “BattleRockTV” (#BRTV).

This project has been incubating over the summer – Jason and Nate have been creating storyboards, lining up stories under the guidance of PortOrford.TV, and working on their technique – and after a few rounds of editing and a stealth launch to a small group of beta-testers, the #BRTV crew launched their pilot episode last week! Christopher is still fine-tuning the logo based on a design by Nate Malamud that he created this summer at #rdcHQ:

More episodes are in the works for the 2010/2011 season – we will keep you posted at #rdcHQ on this exciting new project!
