Cape Blanco Light Station (Conditions last recorded onsite at 9:20AM on October 25 2025)

SUNDAY: πŸ’‘β€ "Good morning, as of 9:20am, the wind speed was around 15 to 20mph. A full 5 inches of water in the rain gauge." We made it out to the lighthouse today as the winds have settled down to a moderate southwesterly breeze; 54Β°F at the tower. The 5" rain total is over the past two days and our highest recorded wind gust during that period was 69mph. This is why we close the gift shop when winds exceed 50mph and also why we close seasonally as the wind is famously strong during the winter months out at Cape Blanco and we want our guests to stay safe. We will be OPEN over the next week until October 31 as the wind and weather allows. ⎈⎈⎈ saveourlighthouse.net
