We launched our newsletter archive at all three sites plus made improvements out at our Weather Station this year with the addition of a rain gauge and weather sensor, with more planned as the season progresses. A shift in the wind direction (S) brings Spring rain to Cape Blanco. Always a welcome sight to water the wildflowers. If you don't mind getting a little wet, come visit!

On very windy days like this, winds often increase out at the cape, peaking at about 2PM before they begin to subside into the late afternoon. Enjoy your day!

This season at Cape Blanco, our docents are tracking the weather to help keep our visitors informed of conditions out at the lighthouse. We measure wind speed with handheld anemometers and update once a day.
