"Another beautiful day at the Lighthouse with fresh breezes coming from the north. Today is bittersweet as our tour of duty here at Cape Blanco comes to an end. Will go from trading beautiful views of the ocean to the north, to the beautiful views of the ocean to the south at Heceta Head. We will miss Port Orford, the people of the Heritage Society and going to taco Tuesday at the dive." We will miss you too, Brian and Katherine! Thanks for everything you do to support the Cape Blanco Lightouse and lighthouse history!

"Father’s Day. Perhaps today we should reflect on James Langlois, James Hughes, and the other fathers that worked day and night to support their families and keep sailors safe. The Lighthouse presents itself under a monochromatic sky, and a wonderful briny gentle breeze." Thanks, Brian — and thanks to fathers everywhere!
